Jocelyn Bell Burnell
Dame Burnell received her Ph.D. in Radio Astronomy at Cambridge where she
was involved in the discovery of Pulsars. This was the beginning of a
distinguished career that has included posts at University College, London and
the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh.
She is recipient of the Oppenheimer prize, the Michelson medal and the
Tinsley prize and she has published around 70 scientific papers.
