Thomas A.
Shannon is Professor of Religion and Social Ethics in the Department of
Humanities and Arts at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA. He
is the author or editor of over 20 book and 40 articles in the areas of
bioethics and Roman Catholic Social Ethics. His most recent works have
been on genetic engineering and include the edited collection Genetic
Engineering: The Documentary History (Greenwood Press, 1999) and Made in Whose
Image? Genetic Engineering and Christian Ethics (Humanity Books, 1999).
