Jaroslav Pelikan
Jaroslav Pelikan (1923-2006) was the Sterling Professor Emeritus of History at
Yale University where he served on the faculty from 1962-96, and one of the
worlds leading scholars in the history of Christianity. He authored more than
30 books including the five volume The Christian Tradition: A History
of the Development of Doctrine (1971-89). His 1997 book was What
Has Athens to Do With Jerusalem? Timaeus and Genesis in Counterpoint.
