I take theology to be the critical analysis of the cognitive content of a living religion whose sources include sacred text, tradition, worship, practice, and personal experience in the context of religious, cultural, and secular pluralism. Theology is accountable to the inter-subjective assessment of the religious communities and to the wider public communities in which they live and practice.
