It is sometimes supposed
that because <!g>Whitehead formulated his <!g>metaphysics at the time of the great
developments in physics known as the second quantum revolution [The <!g>Schrödinger
Wave Equation was published in 1926, the <!g>Heisenberg <!g>Uncertainty Principle in
1927] and because both process thought and <!g>quantum theory require a somewhat
unusual way of looking at the world, that therefore process schemes are
