Murphy, "Human Nature," 24-25. Murphys term, holistic
dualism, is roughly equivalent to Barbours dual-aspect monism, since she
means by it "the person is a composite of separable parts but is to be
identified with the whole...functioning as a unity". On nonreductive
physicalism see also Murphy, "Supervenience," esp. Sec. 3; Murphy,
Beyond liberalism and fundamentalism, esp. Ch. 6.
