ImmanenceFrom the Latin meaning remaining within - usually used of
Gods indwelling of Gods creation. In classical Christian theology God is
present to every entity in the universe, an emphasis also strong in Islam. But
historically the concept of divine transcendence has often received more stress
in Christianity than that of divine indwelling.
